Whatever their gender or sexual orientation, these capable individuals "keep it all together" while privately waging a battle. They struggle to make sense of things that happened in their past, heal from a painful breakup, or cope with anxiety and loneliness. Many are haunted by a persistent feeling that the satisfaction and meaning life once had now seem to escape them. For expats in Berlin, the city itself can be an ironically isolating place — surrounded by people, yet somehow alone.

I specialize in those who suffer secretly.

My approach to therapy is warm, reflective, and non-judgmental. To all newcomers still uncertain about therapy, I welcome you to come as you are. Bring it all. Bring it on. Nothing is unacceptable or unwelcome.

Come as you are. Bring it all. Nothing is unacceptable.

Therapy with me is collaborative, and we shape it around your needs. In fact, figuring out what exactly your needs are might itself be an invaluable part of the process. Some people are in the midst of a crisis. Others want a philosophically minded companion to help make sense of existential questions. All starting points are equally valid, and I gladly engage with whatever you bring.

Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, we work to understand the deeper emotional dynamics beneath them — how past experiences, so-called attachment styles, and unconscious patterns shape the way you relate to others, to yourself, and to the world.

Depending on what you need, I draw from psychoanalytic psychotherapy and EMDR. In plain language: one helps us understand the roots, the other helps process what is "stuck" and persistent. EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing — is endorsed by the World Health Organization for trauma, and is also highly effective for panic, performance anxiety, stress, and addiction.

Sessions are available online and in person in Berlin. €80 per session.
